February 17, 2023

Name: Bruno Krnić

Company name: Bytegra

Colour of your eyes: Green

How many people are in the team: 6

What is the difference between you and Steve Jobs: I like to wear a blazer over my turtleneck sweaters.

Discussion on the product/service

Can you describe your product/service to us?

Cargo SaT is a marketplace for providers of shipping, storage, and transportation services.

How did you get the idea to start with this?

My co-founder and I have discussed the idea as a promising one several times before finally deciding to run with it.

What are your plans for the future?

Create the best app that we can and keep expanding it until we are satisfied with it.

Rather Ginto or Whiskey?

I’m a rum man. Few things are better than a bit of Diplomatico or Dictador.

Personal conversation

What is it like to run a business and what do you like the most?

Running a business is challenging but they are the kind of challenges that draw you to meet them. I still thoroughly enjoy every planning and review session. Really helps keep things in perspective.

What are your biggest obstacles?

The biggest obstacle is that the future is always uncertain. You can plan as much as you like but you cannot account for everything.

Are you more Goulash or Odojak? Caviar or Foie gras?

Either a simple pasta meal or some meat right off the grill.

What advice would you give to other people that are interested in starting something new?

Plan thoroughly. And if you think you have, plan again.

What would you advise a founder to do?

Learn to bite the bullet. Things aren’t always going to go smoothly.

What would you advise a founder not to do?

Be close-minded. Any input is good input, you just need to learn how to take advantage of it.

What is a key factor to success?

Flexibility. Things rarely go as planned and you need to keep moving in spite of that.

How to teach a frog to smile?

Tell it a dad joke. Frogs like dad jokes.

FRC Program

Can you tell us something about your experience in the FRC accelerator program?

It’s a very unique experience that feels quite amazing to have had. Seeing so many startups and having the chance to get advice from such experts feels like a one-of-a-kind experience.

What is your favorite spot on the planet?

The Great Red Spot on Jupiter. Wait, which planet?

What was the most important takeaway from the program?

That there is so much depth behind every successful venture. And a lot of amazing people who made them happen.

Would you suggest other founders apply?

Definitely. Don’t even hesitate. If you have a good idea, this is the best place to turn it into something.

Who was your favorite FRC team member? Why?

Stevica Kuharski. It is great to have such a down-to-earth and yet very experienced mentor.
