Discussion on the product/service

Can you describe your product/service to us?
My product is Nocturiglow – the worlds’ most user friendly urinal bottle! It is super fancy looking, it can glow in the dark and prevents a lot of nightly misfortunes! It is made for people with mobility impairments and night time urination issues.

How did you get to an idea to start with this?
I came to the idea while I was working as a caregiver for people with physical dissabilites. Existing bottles are plain ugly and not very helpful during the night.

What are your plans for the future?
Bring the product to the market and sell it like there’s no tomorrow. Cash out and move to Gran Canaria to work on my next startup idea.

Personal conversation

Rather Ginto or Whiskey?
Gin, it’s more abs friendly!

What is the difference between you and Steve Jobs?
He couldn’t do a back flip.

What is it like to run a business and what do you like the most?
Most of the time I have to pretend that I know what I do. The uncertainty is making me anxious and I’m constantly concerned about the future. Wouldn’t change this experience for nothing.

What are your biggest obstacles?
My mind is my biggest obstacle. I’m complicating stuff way more than it needs to be.

Are you more Goulash or Odojak? Caviar or Foie gras?
Venison goulash all the way!

What is your favorite spot on the planet?
My wife’s pregnant belly.

What advice would you give to other people that are interested in starting something new?
Don’t postpone it. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll pass through the miserable phase.

What would you advise a founder to do?
Find a co founder. Someone who believes in your product as much as you do.

What would you advise a founder not to do?
Don’t set a routine around fixed working hours. Work whenever it’s needed but don’t lose your balance.

What is a key factor to success?
I suppose the usual stuff. Work hard and believe in yourself but I still can’t tell you that out of my own experience so ask me again when I get there.

How to teach a frog to smile?
Don’t. I tried it once by force. Got me some nasty warts.

FRC program

Can you tell us something about your experience in the FRC accelerator program?
It was an awesome experience! You get to learn from people who know what they’re talking about, have some serious cash in their pockets and approach you with sincere desire to help you get to the top! Oh, and the founder’s dinners were the highlight of my week.

What was the most important takeaway from the program?
Act fast and if not sure, act even faster so you can fail sooner and learn from your mistakes.

Would you suggest to other founders to apply?

Only if they have a strong will to change their life.

Who was your favorite FRC team member and why?
Julien. The man scared the hell out of me at the beginning. Super confident, badass mafia threatening and always speaks his mind. I redesigned my product because of him and made it look like a million dollar pee bottle 😀
