With global trends indicating that half of the world population will have eye related issues by 2050, prevention, early detection and personalized treatments will be the way to go. Company’s approach that has even been recognized by big names in ophthalmic pharma, merges and combines both the scientific medical components and consumer-centered UX. The company has been part of Bayer-led accelerator EyeFocus, as well as an incubation program Health Venture Lab by GE HealthCare and EIT Health. Smart Optometry won the Gold Award for Innovation by Slovenian Chamber of Commerce as a most innovative young company in 2018. Since inception in 2015, the company raised two investments by Kolektor Ventures and Salus.
